Young Artist's Paintings Purchased Across the World: Marat's Dzjubenko
Marats Dzjubenko is a well-known artist residing in Latvia, with exhibitions across the country and his paintings commissioned worldwide. Many people appreciate his talent. His mother, Olga Jefimova, says:
“Marat’s passion for painting started at an early age. Ever since he was a baby, Marat has been surrounded by art. I remember taking him with me to my lectures at the Latvian Academy of Art, where he was exposed to creativity from the very start.
By the time he was two, I had already set up a large canvas for him in my studio, along with some painting materials. He would sit there and explore the world of colors and forms, and I could see that it fascinated him.
An Artistic Family Legacy
Both Marat’s father, Olegs Dzjubenko, and I graduated from the Latvian Academy of Art. Our family has always been deeply connected to the art world. Olegs is a docent in the Drawing Department at the Academy, while I work with glass and painting. Growing up in such an environment has definitely shaped Marat. He has watched us create, learned from us, and absorbed the energy that comes with being surrounded by art.
A Young Artist’s Vision
Marats is now 14 years old. His paintings often depict nature, and it’s incredible to see the details and emotions he captures. He uses subtle tones that reflect his connection to the natural world. His works have attracted significant attention — they’ve been exhibited at prominent events such as the Art Riga Fair, Puikule Manor, and many other locations across the country. It’s such a proud moment as a mother to see his talent recognized not only in Latvia but also abroad.
International Recognition
People seem to really connect with Marats’ work, and there is significant demand for his paintings. His first piece was sold when he was only 8 years old, and interest in adding the young artist’s work to collections has only grown since then. Now, a few years later, Marats’ paintings are well received, and people are eager to acquire them.
Some of his works are owned by prominent politicians, while others are part of international collections in places like the USA, UK, Germany, Ireland, and many other countries. One collector from Norway even owns seven of his pieces!
I’m amazed by how his art has touched so many people, and it fills me with hope for his future.
A Balanced Childhood
But Marat is still a child, and I think that’s important. He is self-taught on the piano, and he loves to play music. He lives a balanced life—painting, learning, playing, and dreaming about the future. One of his dreams is to study at the Latvian Academy of Art, just like his parents did. As his mother, I can only wish that he continues to follow his passion and grows as an artist, and as a person.”
